An initial consultation is required for all patients new to Dr J. Aesthetics before any treatments regardless of past treatments elsewhere. This is to ensure patient safety and to allow us to tailor a treatment that is best suited to you. The consultation will involve a full medical and cosmetic treatment history assessment, a complete facial assessment, getting to know your concerns and expectations, and a thorough discussion of what to expect from your treatment options.

For existing patients after receiving a treatment only. This is to conduct any post-procedure progress review and/or to discuss any future treatments.

This is a comprehensive consultation reviewing your medical history, reviewing all factors that may be contributing to your acne, clinical assessment of the type and severity of both your skin and acne, discussing all options available, their potential benefits & risks, realistic expectations of costs and outcomes of each option, and if deemed appropriate any scripts**, investigations, and/or referrals. Fee is for consultation only.

All presription options for Acne are available except for the most extreme measure which is limited to Dermatologists for which a referral can be provided if necessary. That option is generally considered a last resort, can only be taken for a limited time, and even if it is to be considered, education and advice on maintenance treatment is still extremely important for long term management which will be discussed in detail during your consultation.

During this consultation we will be reviewing your progress, identifying and addressing any issues with the treatments previously prescribed, adjustment of your treatment plan if necessary, and if deemed appropriate the provision of any scripts, investigations, and/or referrals. Available in both Near Infrared Light (830nm wavelength) and Blue Light (415nm wavelength). Near Infrared Light is used for stimulating improved wound healing, bruise healing, skin rejuvenation, collagen production, and in other specialised cases. While Blue Light is used for treating active acne lesions.
