What are Mono-Threads

Mono-threads are made out of the same material as dissolvable sutures used to close wounds in surgical procedures. When used cosmetically, they are placed carefully at a particular layer of the skin which then gets absorbed by your body. As it is absorbed, it stimulates collagen production and remodelling of the skin which ultimately can enhance the elasticity, firmness, and general integrity of your skin which as a result can reduce wrinkles and enhance the general complexion of your skin.

Are Mono-Threads The Same As Lifting Threads

Mono-threads are not to be confused with lifting threads which are much thicker and designed with barbs along the suture material to physically grip on and pull on your internal skin as it is inserted and thus provide a "lift". Sometimes you may notice results from monothreads can appear to provide a lift but is actually due to the general increased firmness and tightness of the skin.

When Will I See Results After Receiveing Mono-Threads

Because mono-threads rely on stimulating your own body to build up collagen and remodel your own skin, it will generally take up to 3 months before you see significant results though some individuals may start to notice improvements after 1 month.

How long results last can really vary between individuals, however a general guide is to expect your results to last approximately 1 years.

Does Receiving Mono-Threads Hurt

Are There Any Downtime After Mono-Threads

Due to the nature of the procedure, some swelling and potentially bruising is likely to occur in the targeted area. Generally speaking swelling will gradually settle over the next 4-7 days, whereas any bruising will generally take 1-2 weeks to fully settle. Bruising in patients with certain health conditions or those taking blood thinners may take a little longer to resolve.
